Adam & Wendy’s Local Foodie Recommendations

We want to help ensure you and your guests have an excellent 5 Star stay! I want to share with you a few of our own family’s favourite restaurants while in Hollywood and Miami.

Zuma is a high end all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant that pairs an all-you-can-drink menu for an incredible value. The Japanese Sangria is inspired and we make our own version using ambrosia apples. Reservations required.

Large portions of Cuban fare at reasonable prices. Start with an empanada and then go for the classic Spanish Paella. Check out their menu

Popular local Italian eatery. Our friends rave about the burnt vegetables, us… not so much.

Kids get pizza dough to play with while waiting for dinner. Great happy hour deals if you go early and they make a great tequila sunrise.

Huge selection of big serve ice cream. Jackson’s ice cream cones come with drip protectors so melting ice cream won’t mess your hands if you can’t keep up with the melt.

Ceviche flight!

Billys has been around forever but high end pricing and seasonality of stone crab claws makes Billy’s only for special occasions.

local cuban cuisine where the locals go for all day breakfast, definitely go large on the cafe con leche (cuban coffee au lait) or a cortadito (expresso) or a cortadito con leche eveporada (Cuban expresso with evaporated milk)

Where the locals go, this one’s a little grungy but great to pop over when you’re at Senor Café.

Chipotle is a Mexican,  Burrito chain restaurant. Our go to for quick-fix Mexican for big steak burritos. Be sure to add guacamole. We’ll occasionally mix the sweetened and unsweetened iced tea for accompanying drinks. Match up with Nachos (Corn chips) and queso (cheese dip) to complete the meal.

Pollo Tropical is our regular go-to for a quick BBQ chicken dinner with latino flair. Get the plantain sides, rice and bean along with pulled pork, a Cuban favourite! They have a self-serve dipping sauce counter with a huge selection of sauces. Remember to get lots of napkins!

Seafood where the locals go. I got a bad ceviche where the conch was as hard as an eraser, but Tark’s has a good happy hour and is always busy.

Great hidden experience in Miami. The food trucks will accept visa payment. There’s typically entertainment going on for the kids at the same time.

Amazing selection of draft beers, cocktails and huge selection of entrees. We love the jambalaya and lobster mac & cheese. Take a walk around the area for an after dinner stroll.

Have an excellent 5 Star stay and don’t hesitate to reach out for any questions!

Warmest,

Adam & Wendy
